The Pirates League Sets Sail in Magic Kingdom® Park June 29
LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – Calling all scoundrels, rogues and ne’er-do-wells – Captain Jack and the crew of the Black Pearl want you.

Starting in late June, the Pearl drops anchor in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom Park for The Pirates League, recruiting and training Walt Disney World® Guests of all ages in the scurrilous ways of buccaneers.

Each Guest checking in at the plunder-filled pirate’s lair gets an official pirate name. Then it’s off to Muster Station for applications of beards and eye patches, scarves and scars, earrings and gold teeth – all done with the savvy skill of a veteran pirate who shares his own tales of sea-sailing adventures.

After the new buccaneers recite a sacred pirate oath, they are officially part of Captain Jack’s motley crew, leaving their old identities behind. Past a hidden portal and into the treasure room, the shipmates have their “pirate portrait” taken before being turned loose on an unsuspecting Adventureland® – and no doubt feeling right at home at the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction.

Guests can choose from three daily pirate packages:

First Mate Package: Includes bandana; choice of facial effects; scars; tattoos; fake teeth; earring and eye patch; sword and sheath; pirate coin necklace; one 5×7-inch photo; and personalized pirate oath — $49.95 plus tax.

Empress Package: Includes bandana; shimmering makeup; face gem; tattoos; nail polish; earring and eye patch; sword and sheath; pirate coin necklace; one 5×7-inch photo; and personalized pirate oath — $49.95 plus tax.

Captains Package: Includes choice of costume/outfit from selection; choice of facial effects; scars; tattoos; fake teeth; earring and eye patch; sword and sheath; pirate coin necklace; three 5×7-inch photos; and personalized pirate oath — $124.95 plus tax.
Newly donned swashbucklers can test their pirate prowess on the streets of Adventureland where they search for clues and discover treasures. And for mateys who need a little more training, learn the secrets for survival by the captain himself during “Captain Jack Sparrow’s Pirate Tutorial

Ocean-Going:

Carnival Dream
Carnival Cruise Lines carries an estimated 625,000 children aboard its 22 ships, about half the number for the North American cruise industry. The 3,646-passenger Carnival Dream will be the line’s largest ship when it debuts on Sept. 21. The ship’s inaugural itineraries are divided between Europe and the Caribbean, and family features include:
• More than 19,000 total square feet of space catering to younger cruisers.
• Dedicated space and programs for children ages 2-5, with arts and crafts and a variety of age-appropriate toys and games; 6-9-year olds with PlayStation2 and Wii linked to plasma television screens; 9-11 with a karaoke machine, air hockey and foosball tables and PlayStation2 and Wii video game consoles; and tweens’ and teens’ own lounges and entertainment.
• Carnival WaterWorks with a 303-foot-long, four-deck-high corkscrew waterslide and a 104-foot-long spiral waterslide that leads into a giant funnel, plus a pair of double-lane 80-foot-long racing slides.
• Deluxe oceanview staterooms with one full bathroom and a second bathroom with a junior tub, shower and sink, along with a variety of inter-connecting staterooms and accommodations can hold up to five.

Oasis of the Seas
The largest cruise ship in the world, Royal Caribbean International’s 5,400-passenger Oasis of the Seas, will make her debut in November with a design based on seven distinct neighborhoods: the Boardwalk, Royal Promenade, Central Park, Vitality at Sea Spa, Pool and Sports, Entertainment and the Youth Zone. She will sail alternating seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries.
• The Youth Zone covers more than 28,700 square feet including, Kids Avenue, a central boulevard connecting children with dedicated Adventure Ocean spaces and various themed play areas.
• The new Royal Babies and Tots nursery will be the cruise line’s first nursery for infants and toddlers six months or older.
• Within the Youth Zone, Kids Avenue will serve as the main promenade for young cruisers to access the various Adventure Ocean areas where age-specific activities will be offered to three Adventure Ocean program age groups, each with its own space: 3-5, 6-8 and 9-11.
• The teen-only spaces are completely separate, adjacent to the ship’s Sports Deck, where kids can test their skills on one of the ship’s two FlowRider surf simulators; the miniature golf-course, Oasis Dunes; or the Sports Court for volleyball and basketball games.

Here’s a great new offering for families assigned to second dining! The Dine and Play program allows children to get their meals quicker and adults to check-in a child for Youth Activities without leaving the dining room.

Knowing about this new option may help you overcome objections or save a sale when main dining is no longer available.

Dine and Play

Available on both the Disney Magic® and Disney Wonder® Cruise Ship.
Offered during second dining in any of the main dining rooms – Animator’s Palate, Lumieres, Tritons and Parrot Cay.
Open to children ages 3-12.
Here’s how it works: Your Client arrives in the dining room and informs the server that their child would like to participate in Dine and Play. The dining room team brings the child’s meal first while serving the adults at a more leisurely pace.

About 45 minutes after seating begins, Youth Activities Counselors arrive in the dining room and sign in the child to their respective groups in Disney’s Oceaneer Club or Disney’s Oceaneer Lab, eliminating the need for your Client to escort the child to Deck 5.

Adults are then able to enjoy the full dining experience with the knowledge that their child is having a great time in a safe, fun and comfortable environment.
